All Eyes on the Hawkeyes

Oh boy, oh boy! Today's the day! I can hardly wait! It's almost more exciting than Christmas morning!

How some 600 Iowans stand in a gymnasium tonight might have a significant impact on the political spectrum, and with that, it can reverberate around the entire world.

Well maybe more than 600 Iowans... probably a couple thousand. But it's kind of cold out, and at 7 PM central - oh crap, there's a new Deal or No Deal tonight!? - Okay 800 Iowans...

The horse race continues. Polls continue to be meaningless. Specifically in the Democratic Caucus: Check this out - (link to how it works)

Right now everyone is scrambling to make sure the nursing homes are emptied by all the candidates. The dollars spent on each Hawkeye caucus attendee is already over $200 each. Why not just hand out checks at the doors?

Predictions:
Dems- John Edwards wins Iowa, Obama - second choice.
Repubs - ... you know, everyone's saying Huck-a-gee. I think it's possible. Iowa selected Pat Robertson for crying out loud. I can't discount that Romney and McCain are still in there. Rudy never really stumped in Iowa, so a poor showing for him is expected. Fred Thompson might bow out after New Hampshire next week, maybe he'll wait until after South Carolina?

Frankly, I'm not watching the Republicans as much as the Democrats, mostly since the Democrats are 10x more interesting.
