Jose Padilla, the "dirty-bomber" suspect sues the lawyer who justified torture for the Bush Administration. (link to the whole story)I think that Jose must have caught the Frontline episode called "The Dark Side" where it gave the timeline of how the Department of Justice gave Cheney and the Administration the "nice and legal" arguments for enemy combatant detention and how to deal with American Jose Padilla.
Those arguments were made by John Yoo, the former deputy assistant Attorney General (not John Woo - the film director) whose legal opinions formed the basis for Padilla's detention and the interrogation techniques used against him that the attorneys call torture.
It's an interesting legal attack plan. I'll keep you up to date on it.
