Super Bowl Extra Large II

SpyGate continues. When Kurt Warner heard about the new allegation that the Patriots secretly taped the Rams' last practice before the 2002 Super Bowl, he's not turning-the-other-cheek about it.

Wait, you mean the NFL has GAME TAPE?! Where'd they get that from?! OMG!

First off, this is a non-issue, and has been drummed up as "news" by sports writers who have too much time on their hands because there shouldn't be a week between the conference games and the Super Bowl. This was a non-story when they got "caught" doing it in September - and it's even more of a non-story today. Especially from 2002. Kurt "Cry-Baby-Jesus" Warner? Who gives a rip?

Second, game tape is game tape is game tape. Is someone suggesting sending a scout or recording how an offense of your opponent has issues and learning to exploit those problems or flaws is illegal? Well, we're going to have to ban video tape from the NFL down to Biddy Football gang - because that's a part of the game.

Football is one of the most technologically advanced sports on the planet. More technology goes into the taping of one NFL game than a Space Shuttle launch. Seriously. Probably more money too.

Eh, what'a I care? Can the Pat's be "Perfect?" Will Eli show up, or repeat Rex Grossman's performance from last year? Will the Bud Light ad make me laugh or piss me off. Will there be monkeys? There better be monkeys! Will Paula Abdul's nipple make a showing?

Time out for a Beer run.
