Saturday Morning Video: Damn Atheists

The people were ridiculous, but the reporter was surprisingly impartial. Bravo.

Another thought, Billboard for a christian church - everything is fine and dandy.
Billboard for an athiest gathering - HOW DARE YOU!

But, why does an Atheist need to discuss with other Atheists what they don't believe? Why does god need a Starship?

Cthulhu, Pop Sensation MegaStar

Yes, that's real. Not a fancy edit.

Jeffrey Combs guest stars as “H.P. Hatecraft” and Harlan Ellison presumably plays himself in a recent episode of Cartoon Network’s Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated in which the gang crosses paths with Cthulhu.

Between this and the three part South Park guest staring Cthulhu, I've got to say that 2010 has been a banner year for the Elder God. REPENT YOUR GOOD DEEDS AND TAKE CTHULHU INTO YOUR HEART AS THE TRUE GOD!

Unusual Godless Pass

You don't usually see God blamed for losing a game...

Stevie Johnson blames God for his mistakes.

Stevie Johnson was reluctant to accept responsibility for the gaffe, posting on his Twitter account post-game that it was in fact God's fault.

"I PRAISE YOU 24/7!!!!!! AND THIS HOW YOU DO ME!!!!! YOU EXPECT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS??? HOW???!!! ILL NEVER FORGET THIS!! EVER!!! THX THO...," Johnson tweeted.

Saturday Morning Cartoons

Religion gives comfort to many and helps explain that which we do not fully understand. Humans want to believe the universe was created for them. To believe we are God’s special creation formed in his own image. That we are infinitely precious, and all other creatures are merely here for us to use as we see fit.

This human desire to have divine meaning to our lives continues to propagate religion from generation to generation. When you remove emotion from the equation, it’s not difficult to see religion for the ancient superstition that it is.
