Conference to Stop Teen Violence

In the wake of a rash of youth murders in Chicago, including the recent beating death of a Fenger High School student, Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Attorney General Eric Holder--standing behind a podium at the Four Seasons after a nice Mascarpone and Lobster Scrambled Eggs in Toasted Brioche -- Pharaoh Richie Daley II declared that money was the answer.

More Federal Dollars as payback for the Chicago Machine's contribution to getting Mr. Obama elected will surly solve this matter of youth violence. Here, read the subtext within his statement.
"Let us remember, much of the violence against Chicago's young people involves gang violence, unfortunately. We need the help of the federal government to help break up the gangs in our city, which does not end at a city limit, and the terror it may bring to communities, not only a city, but throughout the country,"
Daley said in the High Temple Throne Room of City Hall at the press conference with Holder and Duncan.

The Education Department is sending a $500,000 grant to help Fenger and the feeder upper grade and elementary schools safer. (I'd be kind of pissed if I went to a school that sounded like it was giving me the finger..., why don't we solve the whole problem by changing the name of the stupid school. Call it Awesome Super Pad. Chick Magnet. Bob Marley's Joint.)

The Pharaoh, outraged by this paltry amount, held out his bowl and demanded the Department of Justice for more resources to fight youth violence and for more sharing of resources and to provide more funding for police and after school and Saturday programs...

Golly, an to think if someone hadn't video taped it on a cell phone, Daley wouldn't have been able to get another half a million dollars.

Hold on wasn't Duncan in charge when he left?

And notice there were NO GUNS involved in this one?
