Yeah, not so much. Remember that fine that Scooter Libby has to pay, and that probation that he'll be on for two years? Yeah, looks like those might go bye-bye, too. So, that's pretty much a pardon, right?

So I was wrong. It took less than 100 days. (Quicker work than Congress!) This two-bit caricature of a puppet dictator continues to exceed my expectations for bullheadedness and cronyism. What do you suppose his, ahem, first response was when Dick "Chancellor Palpatine" Cheney told him he could commute Scooter's sentence? "Well, Dick, now whah would Ah wanna drahve a scooter to work, for?"

Nope, nope. You were outsmarted. The real pardon will be at the end of his term. No one will want to argue again about it.
