Being marched off to a 'concert' for Spiritual Fitness is not only infuriating, unfair, it's also Un Constitutional. At what point were the soldiers rights not violated, exactly?
If the event were held off post, and promoted as something to do in downtime - that's one thing. This was not 'voluntary.'
Religious concerts should not be sponsored by the military or any government agency. Having such concerts on post is a form of sponsorship of religion -- and that's exactly what our troops are supposed to be fighting against.
Sounds more like the Salvation Army than the US Army.
