Flames of Fire

Sometimes fire is good, fire is natural. It can rejuvenate nature, causing nutrients to return to the soil, and creates an environment with rich, fresh growth. There are plants that only germinate in the presence of fire. This is comforting when you're talking about a fire in Yellowstone or in the Rocky Mountain National Park.... but we're talking about LA.

In no surprise to me at all, the Los Angeles Fire Was Arson, Officials Say.

The wildfire north of Los Angeles is being investigated as a homicide.

The fire has claimed the lives of two firefighters, ravaged more than 250 square miles and destroyed more than 60 homes was caused by arson, the federal Forest Service said.

"If an arsonist did this, everyone should be angry about it," Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca told The Times. "This is one of the most unacceptable crimes."

I'm angry for the firefighter's families. I hope they catch the SOB.
