Anyone read about the commencement speech given yesterday by the Prez at Georgetown University? If you don't know, Georgetown is affiliated closely with the Catholic church. Apparently the White House requested that IHS (Catholic symbol for the name of Jesus Christ) be covered on the speech pediment for 'consistency' purposes as his other speeches have been in settings covered in black draping and devoid of any symbols or wording. This is just terrible! Covering that in a location clearly linked to Jesus Christ and the school's Catholic church backing is stealing away their beliefs. How could they just give in like that?! I've already written about the coming war over guns, but this war over God is far more troubling and it should be to God-fearing people worldwide. I won't go on about my personal beliefs any more, but here's a good Bible quote about this subject that makes me quiver: "Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels." Mark 8:38.
Just more personal shame about our "leaders" and those false claims of being patriotic Americans that respect the values that used to be at the core of our nation.

A little research regarding your tirades is the least you can offer readers.
As a reformed Catholic, it rankles when someone who rejected the teaching of the church & refuses to believe in the shamanistic powers of priests but still buys the other goofy stuff tries to defend what they, as I just said, rejected.
Lastly,
Georgetown said "Okay." They invited him to speak, the man said "these are my conditions," and the school met them. Voluntarily. As a pinko socialist liberal, Obama would certainly never hold a gun to someone's head. Freedom of choice is a big deal. DEVO taught us that.
Well, if you like the way things are then that's cool. I don't, and I certainly didn't vote for all this and something tells me you didn't either. That's the great thing about the internet is that I can say what I want. Also a great thing about the 1st Amendment which allows me the same. So I think I will poo-poo about what I feel like. Besides, you like to comment on my blather and rhetoric so at least someone is reading it! Thanks.
Just remember that your right to free speech does not include slander or harmful speech, like the ever popular example of "fire!" in a crowded theatre.
IHS is a military thing, which is why I all ways found it at odds with the teachings of Jesus.
Whether Rush Limbaugh or J. Swift is your model, you should remember to provide a bit of fact with your feelings.
