Who Said It?

Quiz time - Who said it?
"I think the wounds that were inflicted on this division were deep, and it will take some time for them to fully heal."
Was it :

a) Attorney General Eric Holder, on the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department.

b) Green Bay Packers General Manager Ted Thompson, on Bret Favre joining the Vikings.

c) John Mozeliak General Manager of Major League Baseball's St. Louis Cardinals, on the Cubs falling apart.

(Music Cue: I'm a little teapot)

Pencils down. Write your answers in the comment section.

Let me ask...

So, if creationists don't believe in evolution, how do they explain the various breeds of dogs?

Quiz Time!

Can you answer the following questions?

  1. What is the supreme law of the land?
  2. What do we call the first ten amendments to the Constitution?
  3. What are the two parts of the U.S. Congress?
  4. How many Justices are on the Supreme Court?
  5. Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?
  6. What ocean is on the East Coast of the United States?
  7. What are the two major political parties in the United States?
  8. We elect a U.S. Senator for how many years?
  9. Who was the first President of the United States?
  10. Who is in charge of the executive branch?

Hopefully you can answer all of these basic questions correctly. But these questions were presented to 1,134 [public] high school students in Arizona, and not a single one could answer more than seven out of ten correctly.

The biggest shocker (for me) is that more than 73% couldn’t name George Washington as our first president.

However, one might suggest that government funded schools haven't failed. They have succeeded beyond all expectation.
