What A Twist

M. Night Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender" has gotten the ever-so-rare F rating from The AV Club.

Roger Ebert said, "'The Last Airbender' is an agonizing experience in every category I can think of and others still waiting to be invented." And this is coming from a man who has cancer so bad, he has no face and cannot even eat anymore... this is a worse pain than that.

What a twist. A pile of summers ago, M. Night was being hailed as the next Hitchcock. Agents and studios were performing fellatio for him on the street. Now, after "Lady in the Water" threw him in the kid category of filmmaking, it would make one assume that after this one, if he can get another gig, it's going to have to be a Hitchcock remake. That's assuming he isn't doing kid's birthdays and bar mitzvahs.

Poor M. Night. Even "Furry Vengance" is out ranking him on rottentomatoes. 21% to Airbender's 5%. Ouuuch.

maybe he can do that Mafia Wars movie. The twist is that there is no story, it's just M. Night Shamalamadingdong asking people to join his gang.

i guess it can't be worse than this airbender thing is?

How could this be that bad? It's not 3 hours of Jar Jar... is it?
