Some Changes Around Here...

Due to the shocking amount of spam comments we've been getting around here on your favorite blog, Blasphemes, we've been forced to engage in some drastic action. We've had to flip the the "Are you a human," or CAPTCHA, on.

We apologize for the massive inconvenience this is to our regular commenters (WaffleMan, Cthulhu) and we're extra sorry for all the folks who are trying to sell Korean Viagra and French, er, ah, Viagra.

We've had a policy of never deleting comments, no matter how dirty, racist or plain stupid they are - especially ones with the worst spelling, those usually attract the Grammar Natzis, which in turn usually ignites a pretty good flame war. But the spam was really starting to pile up.

So, again, we'd like to say sorry to all the hundreds of followers and the thousands of you who like to leave comments and start debates here on Blasphemes, but it's an added step that is necessary - mostly because we're way to lazy to delete the spam piling up in the old posts.

Feel free to comment on- ooh, sore spot.

Any flight you can walk away from...

How was that last flight you took? Sit next to the fat guy and in front of the screaming baby? Yeah, watch this...

We’ve seen a lot of simulations of U.S. Airways Flight 1549 going into the Hudson River, but a new video painstakingly compiled by an engineer offers the most comprehensive and compelling look yet at the airliner’s short but incredible flight.

But the latest work by Kas Osterbuhr, an engineer at K3 Resources who specializes in the visual presentation of complex data, go one step further. They reconstruct the flight using vast amounts of informtion, including radar information showing the position of the geese that led to the Airbus A320 losing power. The result is an incredible series of videos providing an immersive look at the flight of Cactus 1549.

And to top it off, they lost my luggage - on the bottom of the Hudson!

Jesus, Cap'n, even the Hyperdine Systems Model 101 has said that they would have a better control of the fires if all of their National Guard helicopters were actually in CA and not Iraq. The same thing happened with all the tornadoes in KS last summer too. (BUt the Democratic Governor of KS was then reflexively branded a turrist-lover by the WH, why not Arnie?)

How do you think that shit gets paid for? Fairy dust? Would you prefer that we just have private industry fight the fires so no one has to pay taxes? A corporation like Blackwater or Halliburton?? Big Government and Higher Taxes!! Jees you sound like you reading from the daily talking points. Think about it, $2.4 TRILLION DOLLARS going to pay for Iraq and Afghanistan. That is your federal tax money Cap'n, if you want to bitch about the unfairness of the idea of the citizenry paying for the government' activities and services, try that one.

I also hope to see you raising as much of a friggin' stink in the next two months when the major personal property insurers are demanding federal bailout money (again your tax dollars) to defray their losses when they have to pay every single one of those homeowners claims because they are ALL insured for fire and fire damage.

Hey, there is a difference between the fires and Katrina, all the rich white people who built their $3M dollar homes in a area historically prone to major brush fires (it's natural you know) will have their homes rebuilt or paid for by their insurers.

Sorry for the rant, but no one should be allowed to use a racist retard like Glenn Beck as back up without being called out on it.
