Just wondering, why wasn't THIS discussed in the news, at all, yesterday? I guess selfless acts of courage aren't encouraged in this day and age?
I suppose that unless it's a video game, most people haven't heard of the Medal of Honor?
Medal of Honor recipient Army Sgt. 1st Class Leroy Petry - in 2008, near Paktya, Afghanistan, distinguished himself by saving the lives of two fellow Rangers, was inducted into the Hall of Heroes at the Pentagon, July 13, 2011. Petry lost his hand in the 2008 fight, but now uses a state-of-the-art prosthesis.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed this was not covered by any of the major news outlets (speaking of internet, not TV). It's really a shame when something this heroic and honorable doesn't even make it as a footnote story. I'm sure most Americans probably would care had it been posted.
It was shown on our local tv here in columbus ga. We are proud of our Ft benning soldiers. Too bad he didn't get nationwide coverage.
