Seems to be a Battlestar influence with the faith and devotion element, i.e. religion? Also, perhaps this is our first sci fi of the Obama Administration? An examination of "what lies under the surface? Obey, don't question us? Careful what you blindly worship themes?" Just a quick thought after watching the trailer. Again, a morality play of current events wrapped up in lizards and spaceships will make V great. If it's just a re-boot without examining other themes and new angles, there's no point. Just bring back the Red Dust and the "Star Child "garbage.
