America in 2008: We have mostly free prescription drugs for the elderly. We've nationalized a big chunk of education. We're probably going to grant 12 to 20 million illegal aliens full citizenship, we have a patriot act and cameras on street corners watching our every move, and we're in the process of nationalizing the financial and housing markets in ways that we can't even understand right now -- and all of this, we are told, will save America.
