Compromise

Seems like a fair deal to me, no?

I think that pretty much works with everything...or should, at least.

For example, I can hate the advertisement and not the advertiser. (Which is often the case with beer commercials.) I can hate the rain but not the clouds, the heat but not the sun, the reflection but not the mirror, etc...

I guess my point is that people need to learn a little bit of separation from causes and effects.

I think that case can be made for most things.

For instance, I can hate the advertisement and not the advertiser (which is often the case with beer commercials). I can hate the rain and not the clouds, the heat and not the sun, etc...

People just need to put some separation between the cause and the effect, and then access how they really feel about each.

Nah.

I dislike the willful ignorance of faith. It is simply a "f*ck you" to people who use logic and reason.

I don't "respect" people who have faith; there is nothing there to be respected.
