Question of da Day

Speaking of Old Chi-Town - Let's discuss this Packers/Giants match up.

Last week the Pack had an old fashioned snow bowl in Lambeau. This week it really will be the 'frozen tundra.' High of, what, 1 Predicted?

I saw on a message board someone asked if Bears Fans would be pulling for the Pack?

At once, I was aflutter with rage, and then settled into a daze of "Well, is it a valid point?"

A true Bears Fan doesn't believe or even know that there is any more football on.

Another breed might be buying Giants gear just to wear at the bar this weekend.

Then there are those who like Farvre (as an at-a-lete), but still hates the Pack.

Then there are people who don't understand that you don't pull for a team out of your Division once they advance into the playoffs. That type is just doing it wrong.

So I asked my good friend Bill Swerski his take on the contro-jersy...

"Dah, tanks Cappy. While it's impressive dat Far-vre' still has a nice trowin' arm, at his advanced age - and is an at-a-lete of great skills - I cannot believe dat dis here topic is of any concern of yours. You pledged alegence to a little team from a town dat starts wit a Chi- and ends in a Cago. So don't worry about dat team furter up north.

What has me in a bind is why Chicago currently has no contending professional teams, while Boston seems to have them all? I, for one, believe dat dis is divine intervention! You see, it is God's punishment, no, retribution to the fans of Chicago for all of dose trophies that One Michael Jordan brought to our fair town.

It's the Lord's way of keeping us humble.
Thanks Bill. Keep an eye on that Fructose intake.

Patriots-Packers would be the more intriguing matchup. A banged-up Chargers team has no shot and I can't stand New York or anything it has to offer. Whether you hate the Packers or not, Brett Favre is fun to watch. Come on, what's worse...the Packers or the Patriots and their obnoxious bragadocious fans? Same ass wipes that beat off about the Red Sox.

Packers are worse. Thanks for asking. A classless organization that took out McMahon on a cheap shot after a play for the rest of 1986 ruining a two-peat, if you will. Fuck Favre and fuck the Pack. May a cheap-ass Strahan shot break Favre's leg and force him into retirement.

The Packer fans on the other hand I have true contempt for. The yapping, fat little chihuahuas wearing their plastic swiss cheese bullshit on their heads sitting in sub-freezing temperatures watching team that wears fucking yellow as a color while overpaid tight ends molest their daughters and safeties run their government.

And all you motherfuckers that want the Patsies to lose. Fuck you. Patsies winning shuts the '72 Dolphins the fuck up. And that is worth a stack of Favre records in gold.

If the Pack does win here's to the most lopsided Superbowl ever.

Fuck Green Bay!

My point was that Packers-Patriots would be the most entertaining Super Bowl. That's all anyone wants, a good game regardless of the outcome. I could care less who wins, I just want to watch a good game well into the 4th quarter. While Tom Petty at halftime is cool, I want a high scoring shootout. Relax

Yea, cuz Jim McMahon was so vital to their success. Sarcasm. They won with defense and running the ball, just like last year. They had some other injuries that season if I remember correctly. Woulda coulda shoulda
